The work Axis elaborates the idea of creating and moving around pivotal points of tension and relaxation. The sound activity is focused around rotating gestures of groups of instruments, exchanging material in various combinations, while the main target is to create timbral layers of polyrhythmic sound patterns. Percussion gestures move around steady points of reference both in vertical and horizontal direction.
